• Worn End Bearing Plates: When the bearings supporting the torsion shaft seize or become loose, the shaft wobbles, forcing the cable out of its precise drum alignment grooves.

When a door is jammed sideways with a loose or broken cable, take these precautions immediately to prevent structural damage or injury:
1. Stop Using the Opener: Discontinue pressing the wall button or remote control immediately. An electric motor attempting to pull an uneven, wedged door will bend horizontal tracks, tear opener brackets from the top panel, and strip the drive gear.
